How to Move Safely During COVID-19 Pandemic

If you’re thinking about making a move but you’re concerned about doing it during a pandemic, you’re not alone. In this video, I’m going to share with you how to move safely during the covid-19 pandemic.

Hi, my name is Glen Hopkins. I’m a local realtor right here in South Surrey and White Rock, BC helping you buy and sell your next home with confidence!

So let’s look at how to safely do that in the midst of a pandemic.

Stay at Home

With safety, the top priority, all buyers & sellers should stay home and call your realtor. If we have not met before we can schedule a live Zoom meeting to discuss your needs.

For buyers, I will email you listings that match your criteria the moment they hit the market so that you can view properties online

Sellers, we are doing everything within our power to limit your exposure while still getting you vetted, qualified buyers in your door.

Virtual Experience

When we list your home we will create a virtual experience and conduct virtual showings. This way we will reduce the number of people physically entering your home by opening it up virtually using video technology.

With this in place, we ask that every buyer does the 3D virtual tour, reviews the floor plans with their agent, and drives around the neighborhood before they schedule an in-person showing.

We also ask that every buyer, before they walk through your door, is pre-qualified so we know they are serious.

Safe Showing Protocol

Once inside they will see a COVID-19 notice displayed in your home. They will also be instructed to follow our safe showing protocol which requires them to wear a mask, gloves and use the hand sanitizer that we provide.

For Inspection

I provide buyers with a list of home inspectors that will safely inspect the seller’s home and then email the buyer an extensive report that can be reviewed from the comfort of your home.

And there’s no need to leave your home when signing documents. With secure online signing programs, we can get the job done without you having to leave your home.

Closing Time

Then, at closing time, I will provide you a list of local lawyers and notaries who will be able to safely provide the legal services needed when buying and selling a home. All while maintaining social distancing recommendations.

It’s Not For Everyone

Virtual home buying and selling may not be for everyone so you still have the option of doing anything discussed in person by taking the necessary social distancing measures.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call, text, or email me. I’m happy to help.

Again, I’m Glen Hopkins helping you buy and sell your next home with confidence.
